Heist Guys 2 launched on 7 July 2026. ELK Studios moved the three characters from an urban heist setting into the Wild West, ponchos, cowboy hats, dusty saloons.
The Heist Game, the map-based bonus where the three guys walk through town collecting coins, dodging guards, and trying to crack the Super Safe, is back and improved. The guys no longer have a fixed step count. They keep going until they cannot move.

The Theme
Three cartoon criminals in Wild West gear, cowboy hats, ponchos, bandanas, targeting the bank in a sun-baked frontier town. The base game grid sits against wooden storefronts, cacti, and a mesa sky. Pay symbols are card royals at the low end and keys, guns, and dynamite as mids, with the three Guy characters as the highest-paying regular symbols.
How the Base Game Works
5 reels, 4 rows, 1,024 ways to win. Three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right form a win. After each win, all winning symbols except Super Wilds are removed. Remaining symbols fall down, new ones drop from above, and the grid is re-evaluated. Avalanches continue until no new win forms.
Super Wilds
The Super Wild moves to a random empty position before every symbol refill. When it is part of a winning combination, the win is multiplied by the Super Wild's current multiplier value. Then that multiplier value doubles for the next win.
Starting at 1x: first win it contributes to pays 1x, then the multiplier becomes 2x. Second win pays 2x, multiplier becomes 4x. Third win pays 4x, multiplier becomes 8x. Within a long avalanche chain, the Super Wild's multiplier can climb rapidly.
If multiple Super Wilds are part of the same winning combination, their multiplier values are added together before being applied to that win.
Super Wilds and their current multiplier values are persistent between spins during free spins. They move to a new position each spin but keep whatever multiplier they have built up.
The State Jar
State symbols can appear on the grid during any spin. When a State symbol is in view at the end of a spin, it is collected. After collection, the State Jar may either increase by one level or empty out and award a random prize. Possible prizes from the State Jar are:

- The Heist Game
The State Jar is the new base game route to the Heist Game and free spins. It gives the base game a secondary goal beyond watching for scatter triggers.
Free Spins (Bonus Drops)
Landing three, four, or five scatter symbols in a base game spin triggers free spins. Three scatters award 8 free spins, four award 10, five award 12. If one of the scatters is a Super Scatter symbol, the same number of Super Free Spins activates instead.
At the start of regular free spins, at least one new Super Wild drops onto the grid. At the start of Super Free Spins, at least two Super Wilds drop in. Both types start with no multiplier on the new wilds.
Super Wilds are persistent throughout free spins, they keep their multiplier values and move to new positions each spin rather than resetting. This means a Super Wild that has doubled to 8x or 16x during the round keeps that value for every subsequent spin.
During free spins, if a Super Wild is part of a win that also includes one of the Guy characters, Guy tokens are added to the inventory, building toward a Heist Game trigger.
If the Heist Game triggers during free spins, it plays out in full and then free spins continue from where they left off when the Heist Game finishes.
The Heist Game
The Heist Game is the main event in Heist Guys 2 and the mechanic that makes the series different from most slots.
How It Triggers
Two routes:
- Winning on all three Heist Guys in the same spin together with a Super Wild
- The State Jar awarding it directly
How It Plays
The slot shifts to a top-down town map. All three Heist Guys start at one end and walk toward the Bank and the Super Safe. They collect coins along the way, pick up items, avoid guards, catch outlaws, and try to reach the Safe inside the Bank.
Unlike the original Heist Guys where the crew had a fixed step count, in Heist Guys 2 the guys keep walking until they physically cannot move. The round ends only when all paths are blocked or all three guys are captured.
Items collected during the run (keys, dynamite, coin multipliers) change what happens at safes and encounters. Better quality safes hold higher rewards. A Super Wild being part of a win with a Guy character during free spins that leads into a Heist Game means starting that run with items already in inventory.
The Super Safe is the highest prize inside the Bank. Reaching it is the path to the game's ceiling.
Bonus and Super Bonus
Three Bonus symbols anywhere on the grid trigger the Bonus Game. If one of the three is a Super Bonus symbol, the Super Bonus activates instead with two Super Wilds guaranteed at the start.

Our Verdict
Heist Guys 2 is a confident sequel. Moving from cluster pays to ways to win makes the base game feel different without losing the identity of the series. The doubling Super Wild is a meaningful upgrade over the original's incremental version. The State Jar gives the base game a third trigger path and keeps sessions from being purely about waiting for scatter counts.
Check the RTP setting first. At 96% it is a fair, well-made high-volatility slot. At 87% the maths is harsh. With the right setting, Heist Guys 2 is one of ELK Studios' strongest 2026 releases.
