Fifteen years passed. Now Redemption Girl is back, and she is not chasing glory. She is chasing what was taken from her. True Grit Redemption 2 picks up exactly where Nolimit City left the story and turns every dial further.
The original True Grit Redemption was already one of the most mechanically dense slots Nolimit City had made. The sequel stacks xBombs, xSplit, three flavors of xWays, a Hunter symbol, a Rat King, and a 34,000x ceiling onto a locked-box grid that evolves as you play.
This is not a casual spin. Here is how it all works.

How True Grit Redemption 2 Works
True Grit Redemption 2 runs on 6 reels in an unusual 2-3-4-4-3-2 row layout, giving it a diamond-shaped grid. Above the main reels sits a separate enhancer row. Six locked box positions sit on the grid and can be opened as the round progresses.
Special symbols drop in from the enhancer row and only become active when they fall into the main reel area during avalanches. Every symbol that lands carries the same multiplier as the Global Multiplier at the time of landing.
The Global Multiplier starts at 1x. It increases by 1x after every win. It also jumps when specific special symbols land on the reel area.
Wins trigger avalanches. Winning symbols disappear, new ones fall, and the chain continues as long as new wins keep forming. Simple in concept, brutal in execution.
The Global Multiplier and Special Symbols
The Global Multiplier is the engine everything plugs into. Every time a win occurs, it increases by 1x. Certain symbols push it much further, much faster:
xBomb removes adjacent symbols, clears locked boxes near the explosion, and adds 1x to the Global Multiplier before the next avalanche. If it is part of a win, it explodes. If there is no win, it still explodes and triggers a new avalanche.
xSplit splits all other symbols in its row, doubling the multiplier on the split symbols. After activating, xSplit turns into a regular paying symbol. It also opens locked boxes in its row.
xWays reveals a random paying symbol with a starting multiplier matching the current Global Multiplier, then adds a further 2x, 3x, or 4x to itself. Multiple xWays symbols reveal the same symbol.
Toxic xWays works like xWays but also adds 2x to every instance of the revealed symbol already on the reel area. So it infects the whole board with a multiplier boost, not just the position it lands on.
Infectious xWays (bonus mode only) reveals a symbol and then doubles the multiplier of every matching symbol already visible on the grid.
xWild converts every symbol on the same reel into a wild while keeping their individual multipliers intact. It does not affect Bonus symbols, Redemption Girl, Rats, or Rat Kings.
Redemption Girl is a wild that absorbs the multipliers of every other symbol on the same reel and adds them to herself. When she is part of a win, her full multiplier is added to the Global Multiplier for the next avalanche. She does not absorb Rat multipliers.
The Hunter is the headline symbol. When it lands on the reel area from the enhancer row, it adds 50x to itself and to every symbol on the entire reel area, plus 50x to the Global Multiplier. One Hunter landing mid-avalanche changes the math of the entire round.
Rats and the Rat King
When four or more Rat or Rat King symbols land on the reel area, they are all removed and their combined multipliers are added to the Global Multiplier. Rat symbols carry multipliers of 1x to 5x each. Rat King symbols carry 15x, 20x, or 25x each.
If a Rat or Rat King gets split by xSplit, the number of Rats in that position doubles. Same multiplier, twice the count. Land an xSplit near a Rat King cluster and the multiplier addition jumps significantly.
Three Bonus Modes
Landing three, four, or five Bonus symbols determines which bonus you enter.
Reckoning Spins — 3 Bonus Symbols, 7 Free Spins
The Global Multiplier carries over between spins instead of resetting. Any opened locked boxes stay open for the entire bonus. Every spin starts from where the previous one ended on the multiplier, which means the chain can build continuously across the whole feature.
Vengeance Spins — 4 Bonus Symbols, 10 Free Spins
Everything from Reckoning Spins, plus two upgrades: locked boxes on reels 5 and 6 are opened at the start of the bonus trigger, and Infectious xWays can appear in the enhancer row throughout the feature. More opened boxes means more active grid area from spin one. Infectious xWays doubling existing symbol multipliers mid-bonus is one of the ways True Grit Redemption 2 reaches its extreme win potential.
Redemption Spins — 5 Bonus Symbols
Everything from Vengeance Spins, plus all locked boxes on the entire grid are opened at the bonus trigger. No partial reveal. Full board, Global Multiplier persisting, Infectious xWays available, from the very first spin. This is the mode the 34,000x ceiling actually requires.
Nolimit Boosters and Bonus Buys
True Grit Redemption 2 has one of the widest buy menus Nolimit City has released.
| Option | Cost | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus Booster | 1.5x bet | Guarantees a Bonus symbol on reel 2, bottom position |
| Gritty Spins | 7.5x bet | Guarantees 5x Global Multiplier on all symbols at spin start |
| Grittier Spins | 30x bet | Guarantees 20x Global Multiplier on all symbols at spin start |
| Grittiest Spins | 1,869x bet | Guarantees 500x Global Multiplier on all symbols at spin start |
The Bonus Booster at 1.5x is basically a permanent ante bet. The Grittiest Spins at 1,869x is one of the most expensive base game spin options in any Nolimit City release. At €100 max bet that is €186,900 per spin. It guarantees a 500x Global Multiplier from the start, which is the closest thing in the game to pre-loading a potential ceiling run.
xTra Spins
When a round ends, True Grit Redemption 2 may offer the option to buy one extra spin at a calculated cost. The price is based on the current Global Multiplier and number of opened boxes at the time. Crucially, the Global Multiplier and opened boxes carry over to the extra spin. If the offer price is less than or equal to the win on the previous spin, it is presented as an option.
It is a way to keep a hot multiplier chain alive without starting from zero.
True Grit Redemption 2 RTP and Volatility
The RTP is 96.07% at the top setting, with 94.04% and 92.03% also available depending on the casino. Check the in-game paytable before you play.
Volatility is rated extreme at 10 out of 10 by Nolimit City. The 22.81% hit frequency is low enough that base game sessions can run dry for long stretches. The bonus triggers on average once every 246 spins. At a €1 bet, getting to the bonus organically requires patience and bankroll.
The Gritty Spins options exist precisely for this reason. They give players a way to pre-load the Global Multiplier without waiting on a bonus trigger.
True Grit Redemption 2 Max Win
The max win is 34,000x your bet. At €1 that is €34,000. At €100 max that is €3.4 million.
The max win probability is 1 in approximately 21 million spins. It requires Redemption Spins with all locked boxes open, the Global Multiplier persisting and building across multiple spins, a Hunter landing to inject 50x across the board, and Infectious xWays doubling symbol multipliers at the right moment.
The original True Grit Redemption had a 20,220x ceiling. True Grit Redemption 2 pushes it to 34,000x while keeping the same extreme volatility profile.
Our Verdict
True Grit Redemption 2 is exactly what a sequel to one of Nolimit City's most mechanically complex slots should be. It keeps the DNA of the original — the locked boxes, the Global Multiplier chain, the cascading system — and layers Toxic xWays, Infectious xWays, the Hunter, and the Rat King on top.
The result is a slot with more moving parts than almost anything else currently available. That is a feature for the right player and a barrier for everyone else.
If you played the original True Grit Redemption and wanted more, True Grit Redemption 2 delivers more. If you are new to Nolimit City's extreme volatility catalog, this is not the entry point. Start somewhere calmer, build your feel for how xMechanics work, and come back.
For experienced bonus hunters and high-variance players, True Grit Redemption 2 is one of the most compelling releases of 2026.
